1. Who we are
UMUGINA operates a three-sided marketplace connecting buyers, verified businesses, and Sales Agents. The platform is administered from Kigali, Rwanda. Contact: support@umugina.com.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Platform admins may suspend accounts that breach these Terms, applicable Rwandan law, or marketplace trust rules.
3. Buyers, businesses, and Sales Agents
Buyers place orders and pay through enabled payment methods. Businesses list products, fulfil orders, and remain responsible for product quality, legality, and customer support. Sales Agents promote products via attribution links and may earn commissions when rules for attribution and settlement are met.
4. Orders and payments
Prices are shown in RWF unless stated otherwise. Available payment providers are controlled by UMUGINA and may include manual / cash-on-delivery settlement and online providers when enabled. Manual payments are confirmed by the merchant. Online providers settle according to their own terms and webhook confirmation. Platform fees and agent commissions are calculated as disclosed in product and finance settings.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use UMUGINA for fraud, illegal goods, IP infringement, abusive messaging, scraping that harms the service, or attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or attribution rules.
6. Liability
UMUGINA provides the marketplace technology. Unless required by law, we are not liable for merchant fulfilment failures, product defects, or third-party payment outages beyond fees you paid to UMUGINA for the affected transaction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under Rwandan consumer protection law.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Disputes should first be raised with support; unresolved disputes may be brought before competent courts in Kigali.
